Mai-Liis Schertz, founder and CEO of Mama-La LLC is married and a mother of three, living just outside of Denver, Colorado.  In 2005, Mai-Liis created the first Mama-La design because she wanted more than synthetic fabrics and the limited patterns of the standard issue car seat cover. Mama-La's design focused on eye-catching graphics and vibrant colors as well as the functional requirements of natural breathable fabrics, durability and the ease of machine washing.  The success of her car seat covers inspired Mai-Liis to branch out, creating a cover and canopy for her Bugaboo stroller.  Success from internet sales, customer blogs and word of mouth and Mama-La was in business! 

Two years later Mama-La has a worldwide clientele and growing demands for covers that are not only protective and practical, but provide a fashion statement for mom's looking to be hip and unique.  Though a busy wife and mother, Mai-Liis stresses the importance of helping other self-starting women and works as a mentor for entrepreneurial mothers.  Mai-Liis is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley where she majored in psychology and business.
